8-Ball Rogue
Complete sound design for a released retro roguelike in the Google Play Store.

Overview
For 8-Ball Rogue, released on the Google Play Store, I created the complete sound design: a consistent sonic world that supports the retro look while adding modern accents. The style is hybrid — 16-bit effects, vaporwave-inspired loops and modern impact and swoosh effects.
Creative process
Music and effects were made in LMMS and refined with FAMIStudio and DaVinci Resolve. The sounds are organised modularly in an AudioManager and linked to gameplay and UI via events:
- Gameplay sounds (ball collisions, enemy abilities, gates)
- UI sounds (menu, shop, upgrades)
- Feedback sounds (win/lose, loading and charged sounds)
Result
A coherent acoustic identity that reinforces gameplay feedback and complements the retro style — performant thanks to preloading and optimised audio structures.
What I learned
Consistency and variation in sound design, plus modular, team-friendly audio integration in close collaboration with art and game design.
